Colleen Zenk Joins the Cast of ‘Milgram and the Fastwalkers’ Season Two

Hit web series Milgram And The Fastwalkers today announced that Daytime Emmy-nominated Colleen Zenk has joined the cast of the show. Ms. Zenk is noted for her role as Barbara Ryan on the daytime drama As the World Turns, a role she portrayed from 1978 until the show left the air in September 2010. On Fastwalkers, she will play the newly-introduced Season 2 character, Whit Wilkerson, a famous Broadway star.

Milgram And The Fastwalkers, is a noir soap opera about UFOs that launched in mid-2012, and whose Season 1 received over 2,000,000 episode views on the Koldcast TV Network within three months.

"Colleen's strong skills at blending dramatic interpretation with a puckish comic sensibility, and her willingness to engage unusual yet authentic characters, make her the perfect choice for this role."

Ms. Zenk was nominated for a Lead Actress Daytime Emmy Award in 2001 and 2002 after the complex role development in her Barbara Ryan character took her from put-upon heroine to villainess. She was named Best Villain by Soap Opera Digest in 2003. She was named Best Villain by Soap Opera Digest in 2003, and was nominated for a third time for a Daytime Emmy in the Outstanding Lead Actress category in 2011.

Ms. Zenk’s strong musical theater experience, with a background mostly in dance, found her cast in 1980 as co-star on Broadway alongside musical theatre legends Chita Rivera and Donald O'Connor in the sequel to Bye Bye Birdie titled Bring Back Birdie, while working during the day on As the World Turns. She was then featured, singing and dancing with Albert Finney and Carol Burnett, in the movie musical Annie directed by John Huston. In 2007, Ms. Zenk battled through oral cancer to recovery after multiple tongue and reconstructive surgeries, radiation and heavy pain medication. She continued her popular stage appearances, including the 50th anniversary production at Little Theatre on the Square of Chicago, and debuting her one-woman show Colleen Zenk: LIVE. In 2011, this period culminated with the long-awaited NY debut of her one-woman show Still Sassy, premiering at Feinstein's at the Regency in New York.

In the summer of 2013, Ms. Zenk portrayed Tallulah Bankhead to rave reviews in the Regional Premiere of Matthew Lombardo's play Looped at STAGEWORKS/Hudson. Next up, Ms. Zenk will headline the cast with Corbin Bleu in Michael Slade’s newest play, Family Shots. The production has its world premiere at The Human Race Theatre Company at The Loft Theatre in downtown Dayton, running from January 22-February 8, 2015. A drama graduate of The Catholic University of America, Ms. Zenk has partnered with The Oral Cancer Foundation to do additional interviews in print and TV media as well as produce public service TV announcements (PSA) on the importance of early detection. She has also devoted much time to the national chapters of Easter Seals, The March of Dimes and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and was on the Board of Governors of Bread and Roses, an AIDS hospice/facility in Connecticut for many years.

Synopsis
Milgram And The Fastwalkers tells the story of Sally Lemm, a highly-stressed hotshot corporate litigator experiencing strange dreams caused by anxiety and sleep loss. At wit's end, Sally consults prominent clinician Dr. Daniel Milgram, M.D., a world-class psychiatrist in the field of abnormal psychology. Challenged by the difficulty of Sally's case, Dr. Milgram attempts to decode her experiences and reluctantly becomes a psychiatric detective in an increasingly nonrational world. Both Sally's and Dr. Milgram's personal lives and successful careers evolve into a turbulent hall of mirrors once the dark and secret world of alien presence and abduction intrudes.

Premise
What is it like when ordinary people experience alien intrusion ? People with everyday lives, the best friends, kids, spouses, the doctors, and colleagues at work? We are a soap opera drama about people whose lives are already complicated, who then experience alien encounter.

The truth is . . . No one is prepared for alien presence.
