|The Outs will return Winter 2016.|
“This new slate of Vimeo Originals exemplifies the fresh, unique voices of Vimeo creators who are propelling online storytelling and entertainment to new levels of quality,“ said Kerry Trainor, CEO, Vimeo. “Vimeo empowers today’s brightest talent to develop their best work, with total creative freedom, and bring it directly to Vimeo’s worldwide audience with no interruptive advertising.”
Cutting a similar path as Vimeo’s first critically acclaimed Original series, High Maintenance, Goldman’s The Outs debuted on Vimeo in 2012, where the seven-part series garnered the fervent support of fans and critics alike, and now picks up with season two on Vimeo On Demand. Vimeo’s new slate also features the work of two celebrated comedians: Bianca Del Rio, whose Birthday Roast was released on Vimeo On Demand this summer, and a short film from SNL cast member Aidy Bryant and director Oz Rodriguez, a long-time Vimeo creator.
The Outs (Winter 2016): The critically acclaimed web series from creator Adam Goldman is back with a new season. Three years have passed since the first season of The Outs concluded. In that time Jack (Hunter Canning), Oona (Sasha Winters) and Mitchell (Adam Goldman) are a little older, a little more tired, and the tiniest bit closer to figuring out what they want. Figuring out how to get it, though... that's another story. Paper Magazine deemed it "the best web series ever," while The Atlantic included The Outs on their list of “best television episodes of 2013,” and Interview Magazine called it "the most accurate and essentially human portrayal of young gay men today.”
The Outs is executive produced by Vaughn Schoonmaker and Adam Goldman.
Darby Forever (Winter 2016): Saturday Night Live breakout cast member Aidy Bryant writes and stars in Vimeo’s first Original short film, Darby Forever. Bryant plays Darby, a shop-girl at “Bobbins & Notions,” a fabric store in a nameless town that is both ordinary and bizarre. The customers she encounters in the shop spark colorful daydreams as Darby looks for independence and maybe finds love with deliveryman, Nick (Luka Jones). Darby Forever also features Retta (Parks and Recreation) and Natasha Lyonne (Orange is the New Black).
Darby Forever is executive produced by Bryant and Jason Carden, and is directed by Oz Rodriguez.
Bianca Del Rio’s Rolodex of Hate Comedy Special: Live from Austin (December 2015): Bianca Del Rio, season 6 winner of RuPaul's Drag Race, is hilariously hateful in this stand-up comedy special. Named one of Variety’s 10 Comics to Watch, The New York Times calls her "The Joan Rivers of the Drag World.”
Bianca Del Rio’s Rolodex of Hate Comedy Special: Live From Austin, is executive produced by Roy Haylock (aka Bianca Del Rio), David Charpentier and Jacob Slane for Producer Entertainment Group.
