Catch Up on Motel Genius Comedy ‘The Oracle of Bellwoods'

The Oracle of Bellwoods was created by Lee Piazza.
Motel Genius, an independent Toronto film company, presents The Oracle of Bellwoods, a completely absurd 11-episode comedy. Ray, a discontented pest exterminator and retired helicopter pilot, meets an oracle in Trinity Bellwoods park, who promises to divulge Ray's fortune. Yet, in exchange for this series of visions, Ray must procure a number of obscure offerings for the Gods, catapulting him onto a quest studded with nefarious characters, who are key to uncovering his potentially perilous future.

The series, created by Lee Piazza, was filmed in parks, bars, streets and cafes around Toronto and the entire soundtrack is composed of some of the most relevant Toronto bands, including The Holy Gasp, Zoo Owl, Delta Will and The Nursery. The cast features, among others, the published poet Jessica Popeski, comedian Matt Rubel and Benjamin Reinhartz, drummer of acclaimed band Dilly Dally (recently in Rolling Stone magazine).
