‘The Misselthwaite Archives' Is a Modern Web Series Adaptation of 'The Secret Garden'

The Misselthwaite Archives is a modernized, web series adaptation of "The Secret Garden" independently produced by Pencil Ink Productions, based in Portland, Oregon. The Misselthwaite Archives tells the story of Mary Lennox, an orphaned teenager, who moves to her uncle's place along Misselthwaite Creek in Oregon. She discovers a secret in the basement and a hidden forest glade.

Inspired by literary web series such as The Lizzie Bennet Diaries, The New Adventures of Peter and Wendy and Classic Alice, the show takes a new and unique approach to filming and multimedia. The video episodes feature vlog-style videos, found footage, and cinematic on-location filming. The multimedia is a collection of pictures and documents to supplement the story. Submissions are also from our audience; some of which are incorporated into the story.

  1. Great food and great people with awesome styling and interior. Also a great event space San Francisco for cheap happy hour drinks. However, the downstairs beer selection is about as standard as it can be while upstairs can be a bit more creative.
