Winterthorne is a family saga detailing the story of Miranda Winterthorne and her rise to power to control the family’s multi-million dollar candy business.
Madison stars as Miranda, a character that Caruso describes as "powerful, seductive, vulnerable, loving, and ruthless."
"The audience will see that everything in Miranda's life has come with a price," Caruso adds, "and that the terrible secrets the family tries to hide are the same secrets that hold their business together. Dark, sexy, glamorous, and a visual feast, Winterthorne will be a classic soap with light touches of gothic whimsy.
Caruso will also star in the series, whose cast, in addition to Madision, includes John-Paul Lavoisier (One Life to Live), Linda Gray (Dallas), Kathleen Gati (General Hospital), Kirsten Storms (General Hospital), Gordon Thomson (Dynasty, Santa Barbara), Kevin Spirtas (Days of our Lives), Ron Hanks (Golden California) and Josh Thrower (90210, The Young and The Restless).
The first season of Winterthorne was shot in March and April, and will premiere on August 27.
