Catch Up on ‘Haunt ME' Season 3

Season 3 of Haunted ME is currently airing.
Haunt ME is now three episodes in to its third season. The show focuses on haunted or supposedly haunted locations on Maine. A team goes in to learn about the history of a place and then investigates to see if there is any validity to the claims. They use a variety of equipment and techniques to make this determination, and each one of the team members has a specific style or job so all bases are covered.

There are four investigators who appear in the episodes, each with a specific job title and working on related tasks. They are Ashley Brooks (group leader), Carol Cleveland (historian), Ty Gowen (audio analyst/location scout) and Katie Webb (occultist).

The tech team includes the talents of Nick Nordfors, Mike Strout, Charlie Widdis, Krista Bertalan, Erin Cross, Johnny Speckman, and Anna Halloran.

Besides the fact that they're some of the youngest paranormal researchers in the field, the team lots of experience in the state of Maine. Maine is one of the least populated states in the country, but is not only full of unexplored wilderness, it’s also saturated with ghostly legends and lore that often date back hundreds of years.

What else sets the Haunt ME apart in the paranormal? The rating system, developed to differentiate the team from other paranormal groups who enter a location simply looking to experience a haunting. They want to envelop the whole story of a paranormal location into the episodes, not just the experiences during an investigation. A location could be hundreds of years old with paranormal occurrences spanning sporadically over that entire time, so if they were to spend a single night in a location like that, it wouldn’t be fair to deem it definitively haunted or not. Instead, locations are pre-rated on a scale of 1-10 based on the legends and personal experiences associated with it. The team then investigates and assigns the evidence that is captured a second separate rating. Finally both the pre-rating score with the evidence rating are merged to arrive at Haunt ME’s final rating.

Rating Scores:
Frith: (1-3) Minimal K-II interaction, no solid proof, mostly personal experiences that could not be documented.
Obstreperous: (4-5) EVP evidence. Residual haunting evidence. Bumps, cracks, footsteps, etc.
Andgiete: (6-7) Visual Evidence, intelligent interaction, deliberate K-II response.
Bellicose: (8-9) Threatening haunt. Trickster spirits trying to effect the group. Troubling EVP’s, evidence of a malice nature. Physical evidence.
Blodreow: (10) If any investigator is put in extreme harm, or is threatened. This category is reserved for venues that are deemed dangerous by the Haunt ME Team.
