Melbourne web series The Happiness Curve has been nominated for three awards at this year’s LA WebFest, held at Warner Bros Studios in Los Angeles on April.

The series released on December 21, 2015 and consisting of six premiere episodes has been nominated for three awards at the Web Festival.
• Outstanding Comedy Series
• Outstanding Ensemble Cast
• Outstanding Writing

The 5-10 minute episodes are available on the official YouTube channel The Happiness Curve and online via, with the sit-com style series following the lives of four unlikely friends who must learn to live with each other if they hope to survive the absurdities of adult life.

“The series is based on a theory called ‘The Happiness Curve’, which suggests that people reach their peak happiness within their twenties and should learn to really embrace that time while they can,” creator Ash Mortimer says.

Showcasing a stellar cast of home grown Aussie talent – Mindy Fyfe, Laura Vine, Ajay Banks and Tass Labra - The Happiness Curve is the brainchild of school friends Mar Borboa and Ash Mortimer.

“We’re so happy to be nominated for three categories at this year’s LA WebFest alongside a stellar cast and crew, who not only put in such an amazing effort to pull the series together on a shoestring budget, but who also volunteered their time, equipment and skills to us,” Ms Borboa says.

“It’s such an honor to have our efforts and those of our cast and crew recognized internationally, it’s very validating after the months and months of hard work that went into the series.”

With award season well underway, The Happiness Curve cast and crew turn their sights to the future and look to extend the series for a possible second season.
