The Brains universe is expanding. |
Apocalypse Yesterday, written by Brains creator Bri Castellini and directed by her brother, Vinny Castellini, is set in apocalyptic Los Angeles, following a group of roommates lamenting the fall of society and reflecting on their new routines. It stars Raina Deerwater, Ryan Smythe, Ben Ellenberg, and Max Friedlaender, and will premiere on December 5th, 2016.
dusk of the dead, co-written by Bri Castellini and RJ Davies, will release its episodes January 9th, 11th, and 13th. Set and produced in Wales, the miniseries will chronicle two siblings reuniting after years of separation due to the plague outbreak, and stars Olivia Carass, RJ Davies, Tom Stickler, and Portia McGrath.
Because both projects will reference Alison’s main series vlogs as inspiration for their own, Alison will be uploading video responses to both after “discovering” them, on December 19th and January 31st. All new content -the short film, the mini series, and Alison’s responses- will be uploaded directly to the Brains YouTube channel.
About Brains
Brains is an original web series set after a three year zombie apocalypse on a college campus. 23-year-old Alison Sumner is a neuropsychology student with a zombie as a best friend, who spends her time doing research about the zombie plague and crushing on a fellow student. Alison "vlogs" her quest to seduce her crush as an independent study art project, as well as her life post apocalypse.
